For Immediate Release: GRSi Surpasses Goal of $10,000 for Wounded Warrior Project On May 26th, Grove Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRSi) held its second annual charity golf tournament and exceeded its own goal by presenting a check for $13,000 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Over 120 golfers teed up at the Maryland National Golf Course and helped raise the money that will support WWP’s unique program for wounded service men and women. The Project is a national, non-partisan organization dedicated to raising awareness and enlisting public support to meet the special needs of returning veterans. Deborah Grove, founder and CEO of the Frederick-based firm, explained that this cause is “…very close to the hearts of our 250 employees because many of them directly support Army, Navy, and Marine programs.” Ms. Grove mentioned GRSi’s biomedical technicians who are working on the BRAC move of Walter Reed Hospital to Bethesda, MD, as an example. The GRSi Program Manager on that contract, Milton Eldridge, Jr., was the driving force behind the successful golf event. A veteran himself, Eldridge appealed to Frederick businesses to contribute an impressive list of prizes and challenged golfers to bring their clubs and their wallets to the day’s event.
